Answer:

Tan function is efficient in this type of problems:

Tanx= opp/adj

given: x=22 degrees and adj = 40m

opp = height of the tower = h

h=Tanx*adj

h=Tan22*40m

h=0.404026226*40m

h=16.2metre

Answer:

16 m

Explanation:

Let the height be h.

\tan 22^(\circ)=(h)/(40) \\ \\ h=40\tan 22^(\circ) \\ \\ h\approx 16
