Katrina’s new shoes are $18.75 before taxes, since 6.25= 25% of $25.

to find the amount of tax multiply 18.75 by 8.25%(equal to 8 1/4), which is 1.55 or 1.546

to find the total simply add $18.75+ $1.55= $20.30

answer: $20.30

Answer: $20.30

Explanation:

lets do 25.00 - 6.25

the answer is 18.75

ok so look at this:
8 (1)/(4) this is a MIXED FRACTION!!! HOW YUCKYY!!! I ONLY LIKE DECIMALS!!!! turned into a decimal this fraction becomes 8.25

what is 18.75 * 0.0825

the answer is 1.546875

so now lets add 18.75 + 1.546875

the total cost is 20.296875 rounded to the nearest cent is 20.30
