Bonjour,

J'habite

l'habitation

l'orage

La -> l'

Le -> l'

Je -> j'

la voyelle précédent "h" est supprimée.

Answer:

Je --> J'

Step-by-step explanation:

The letter H is always silent in French, yet there are two different types: H must, which acts like a vowel. H aspiré, which acts like a consonant.

Let's say your word is habite.

So instead of Je habite it would be J'habite

This is because e and h are vowels and vowels do not usually go together in French, so it's replaced with an apostrophe
