The question is asking what number could be subtracted by 6 to get 3.

All you need to do is add 6 and 3
6+3=9

i=9

You can double check this by subtracting 9 by 6
9-6=3

it wouldnt be 3-6=3 because that actually ='s -3

but 9-6 is equal to positive 3
