Convert -2/5 into -4/10 so that it can be added to 3/10. This equals -1/10, which is also -0.1
Add -.01 to the 1 that was attached to (1 1/3) and you will get 0.9
Add 0.9 to 2.7 and the answer is
3.6
Or
3 6/10
