Let's remind ourselves of what we predicted last week:

Go to question 4 on Lesson 7 and review what you predicted would happen to the populations of the buffalo and wildebeest after
1975.

Lesson 7 question 4 # is
4. Could these discoveries help predict the patterns we may see in the population size due to things like the emersion and elimination of the rinderpest? Based on our simulation results what do we predict will happen to the populations of the buffalo and wildebeest after 1975?

Yes, these findings are pretty helpful in predicting trends in population growth that might result from situations like the advent and eradication of the rinderpest. The outcomes of the simulations we performed to forecast what will happen to the buffalo and wildebeest populations after 1957 it will go back to normal.

1. Revisit your prediction from Lesson 7. What information would you need to know in order to determine if your prediction was correct? Explain why the information would help determine if your prediction was correct.

Answer: My hypothesis is correct because in the 1960s, the buffalo population in Serengeti National Park, Tanzania, began increasing at a rate much faster than before. Scientists determined that this increase was due to several factors, including the eradication of a disease called rinderpest and this how I think my hypothesis is correct.
