Explanation:

1) Plug in -6 for x to get f(-6)=2(
-6^(2))

2) PEMDAS time! Inside the parenthesis, we have
-6^2, and -6 * -6 = 36. We now have f(-6) = 2(36)

3) Multiply 2 and 36 to get 72
