4. The same whole number with a fraction is bigger because if you convert a fraction into a decimal, the decimal will be bigger. For example, 2 3/4 converted into a decimal is 2.75, and 2 alone is just 2, so 2.75 > 2.

(If you arent learning about coverting fractions into decimals I'm sorry, thats just how I understand it)

5. You can tell which one is bigger by looking at the numerator.
