Answer: x = 88 degrees

Explanation:

The angles of a triangle add up to 180 degrees.

So

48 + x + (x - 44) = 180

48 + 2x - 44 = 180

2x + 4 = 180

2x = 176

x = 88

Angle B = 88 degrees

Angle C = 44 degrees
