Answer:

y=-(1)/(2) x-1

Explanation:

The slope in the equation is 2

m = 2

The slope of a perpendicular line must be inverse to m = 2

m = -1/2

With the known point and slope the equation of the perpendicular line is determined:

y-1=-(1)/(2) (x-(-4))

y-1=-(1)/(2)( x+4)

y=-(1)/(2)x-2+1

y=-(1)/(2) x-1

Hope this helps
