The distance formula is the the square root of the difference of the x (delta x) squared plus the difference of the y (delta y) squared. So, you would do

0 - (-5) = 5 & -2 - (3) = -5

Then

5² + (-5)² = 25 + 25 = 50

Square root 50

5√2
