If ∠A = 5x – 6 and ∠C = 3x + 14, what is the measure of ∠A?

Lifesaver:

∠A = ∠C

⇒ AB = BC (Equal angles have equal sides opposite to them)

⇒ 5x+6 = 3x+14

⇒ 5x-3x = 14-6

⇒ 2x = 8

⇒ x= 4
