\sqrt{ {( 6 - ( - 4))}^(2) + {(5 - 3)}^(2) }


\sqrt{ {10}^(2) + {2}^(2) }


√(100 + 4) = √(104) = √(4 * 26) = 2 √(26)

For (b):


(6 + ( - 4))/(2) = - (2)/(2) = - 1


(5 + 3)/(2) = (8)/(2) = 4
