Can the surface-area-to-volume ration be indicative of the importance of a cell's dimensions and the ability to properly diffuse material into the cell?

Yes smaller cells like bacteria have a larger surface area to volume ratio bc that means more material/substances can come in and spread throughout the cell faster which is beneficial for the proper functioning.. if cell was as big as human, it would have smaller surface area to volume ratio, meaning substances coming in needed for cellular processes won’t reach the entirety of the cell efficiently
