9.8 x 2.2 = 21.56 m

distance = time x speed

speed = distance ÷ time

Explanation:

The highest point he reached occurred at the vertex, which is at t = -b/2a = 2.2 second. Plugging in t = 2.2

9.8 x 2.2 = 21.56ft
