2=(14) 2=196cm 2Radius of circle = half of the side of square = 214=7cmArea of quadrant of circle = 41πr 2

Area of 4 quadrants of circle =4( 41 πr 2)= 722×7×7=154cm 2 Area of shaded region =196−154=42cm 2
