For f(x)=2x-1 solve for f(1) f(-2) f(5)

Answer:

f(1) = 1 , f(-2) = -5, f(5) = 9

Explanation:

f(x) = 2x-1

then,

f(1) = 2×1-1

= 2-1

= 1

f(-2) = 2×(-2)-1

= -4-1

= -5 ( when sign is both negative the values are added but sign is kept negative)

f(5) = 2×5-1

= 10-1

= 9
