Answer:

g(x) = | x + 5 | + 2

Explanation:

given f(x) then f(x ± h ) represents a horizontal translation of f(x)

• if x > 0 then a shift to the left of h units

• if x < 0 then a shift to the right of h units

here f(x) is shifted left by 5 units , then

g(x) = | x + 5 |

given f(x) then f(x) + k represents a vertical translation of f(x)

• if k > 0 then a shift up of k units

• if k < 0 then a shift down of k units

here f(x) is shifted up 2 units , then

g(x) = | x + 5 | + 2
