I would say that it could be productive to stay up late and study but, staying up all night might cause you to forget your answers due to lack of sleep and would cause you to have a hard time understanding the questions on the test. (in my personal experience it would be hard for me to understand at least.) So i would say that it would be good to stay up later than usual to study but not all night and be able to get a good night rest.
