Let
x be the "given angle" mentioned here. Then its complement indeed has measure
90-x, and its supplement
180-x.

Now translate the following sentence into an equation:

"The supplement of a given angle is 10° more than twice its complement."


\implies 180 - x = 10 + 2 (90 - x)

Solve for
x.


180 - x = 10 + (180 - 2x)


180 - x = 190 - 2x


2x - x = 190 - 180


\boxed{x = 10}
