Lipids store the most chemical potential energy. Carbohydrates are more readily available though so the body use carbs when it can before accessing lipid storages.

Proteins have some potential for making ATP but your body needs proteins to actually make the ATP and stuff so ideally you'll never really be burning protein for energy; rather it gets broken down and used for parts in machinery.
