Explanation:

since we have the slope and a point, we can start with the point-slope form :

y - y1 = a(x - x1)

"a" being the slope, (x1, y1) being the point :

y - -5 = -7(x - 1) = -7x + 7

y + 5 = -7x + 7

y + 7x = 2
