The Bible always calls Jesus the son of God. It had been predicted that someone would come to the earth through a miracle birth. He would grow into a man and at maturity of about 30 (same age as David and John the Baptist) he would present himself to his Father. This was the event of his baptism and for three and a half years he traveled within the confines of Palestine to fulfill Isaiah 61 (Luke 4:16–21) to let people know the Messiah has arrived as the son of man. After his death the apostles and others carried this message of Messiah arriving, dying as a sacrificial lamb, but raised back to life but not as a human anymore. Jesus then presented himself to his father in heaven with ‘job done’ and the waiting period started until his return.
