Question a)

Find the altitude of the top of the hill by adding the difference to the altitude of the check point 3:

  • 151 + (- 173) =
  • 151 - 173 =
  • - 21 ft

Question b)

Find the difference between the two altitudes:

  • 2237 - (- 69) =
  • 2237 + 69 =
  • 2306 ft

You got it correct.
