where a and b are 2 sides of the triangle and C the angle between them

here a = 13 , b = x , C = 30° and A = 26 , then


(1)/(2) × 13 × x × sin30° = 26 ( multiply both sides by 2 to clear the fraction )

13x × sin30° = 52 ( using the exact value of sin30° =
(1)/(2) )

13x ×
(1)/(2) = 52 ( multiply both sides by 2 to clear the fraction )

13x = 104 ( divide both sides by 13 )

x = 8
