Physiotherapy. The main treatment for HSD or hEDS is improving muscle strength and fitness, so your joints are better protected. Physical therapy can reduce pain, improve your strength, fitness and balance which will help reduce the risk of dislocations. Hydrotherapy can also help strengthen your joints.

Answer:

1) The treatment for hypermobility is improving muscle strength and fitness.

2) Description and comparison of 3 disorders that affect different aspects of the musculoskeletal system. (E.g; shoulder dislocation in joint hypermobility, rheumatoid arthritis and cruciate ligament injury).

  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome: the compression of the median nerve, or carpal tunnel, which sends impulses to the muscle in your thumb, is usually caused by internal swelling in the wrist. it can lead to numbness and weakness.
  • Osteoarthritis: cartilage wears down allowing the bones in a joint to rub together. it can cause pain and stiffness. this condition increases the likelihood of getting carpal tunnel syndrome.
  • Fibromyalgia: a wide-range chronic condition that causes musculoskeletal pain, tenderness, fatigue, and sleep disturbances.
