Explanation:

130° and 2x° are adjacent angles on a straight line and sum to 180° , so

130 + 2x = 180 ( subtract 130 from both sides )

2x = 50 ( divide both sides by 2 )

x = 25

130° is an exterior angle of the triangle , then

54 + 4y = 130 ( subtract 54 from both sides )
