Answer: distance =
√(290), or in fully simplified form, distance = 17.029386

Step-by-step explanation: (disclaimer! im not sure what LaTeX means in this case, but if you just needed the distance between the two points in this case then i can help)

1. the distance formula is d =
\sqrt{(x_(2) -x_(1) )^(2) + (y_(2) -y_(1))^2 }

2. you substitute the values for x and y: d=
\sqrt{(13-2)^(2) +(20-7)^2}

3. simplify: distance =
√(290), or, when you use a calculator to simplify that even more, you get distance = 17.029386
