4. How many terms are there in the following sequence?

19, 21, 23, ..., 53

The answer is this sequence has 18 terms

Explanation:

As you can see, the term-to-term rule of the sequence is +2

We can use that to calculate the amount of terms.

First, calculate the distance between the first and last terms

53 - 19 = 34

Then, use this and divide the term-to-term rule.

34/ 2 = 17

Remember to add 1 at the end :)

17 + 1 = 18

There are 18 terms in this sequence.
