Explanation:

Im going to assume that x2 means x squared. You can just substitute "x" for 5. 3(5-4)+2(5)-5^2. First parenthesis equals 3(1)+10-5^2. Then it equals 3+10-5^2. So then it would be 13-5^2. 5^2 equals 25. so it would be 13-25. Which equals -12.
