Let us use the following conditional statement as an example:

“If a figure is a square, then it has four sides”

There are two elements to this phrase; “if a figure is a square” (the condition upon which the statement depends on) and “then it has four sides” (the conclusion which can be understood from the condition).

Therefore, the conclusion can be found at the end of a conditional statement.
