∠A and \angle B∠B are complementary angles. If m\angle A=(x-19)^{\circ}∠A=(x−19) ∘ and m\angle B=(3x+1)^{\circ}∠B=(3x+1) ∘ , then find the measure of \angle B∠B.

Answer:

∠ B = 82°

Explanation:

complementary angles sum to 90° , then

∠ A + ∠ B = 90 , that is

x - 19 + 3x + 1 = 90

4x - 18 = 90 ( add 18 to both sides )

4x = 108 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x = 27

Then

∠ B = 3x + 1 = 3(27) + 1 = 81 + 1 = 82°
