Beowulf is a selfish person who only wants to bring glory,fame,and honor to himself and that is the flaw in Beowulf that affects the story

I’d rewrite it as: Beowulfs flaw in the story is that they were a selfish person whom only wished to help with anything if it benefited themselves. Through this awful behavior it is clear that that character flaw negatively affects the plot
