Select and describe a health problem that you believe has a genetic component at least partially inherited. If you do not identify an inherited health condition within your family, choose a disease that interests you or impacts a friend or other family member.

Not sure about your family health... but erm.. I can give you some examples of ones that might interest you!!

Single Gene Inheritance-individuals with an autosomal recessive single-gene disease inherit one mutant allele of the disease-associated gene from each of their parents.

Multifactorial Inheritance-Multifactorial inheritance is when more than 1 factor causes a trait or health problem, such as a birth defect or chronic illness.

Chromosome Abnormalities- a disorder characterized by a morphological or numerical alteration in single or multiple chromosomes, affecting autosomes, sex chromosomes, or both.

Mitochondrial Inheritance- the mitochondria contain their own DNA.
