During the COVID-19 global pandemic, it was more difficult for Western cultures to adapt to the practice of wearing masks. In many Asian cultures, this practice was already part of social norms as people wore masks to protect others if they were sick. What will it take for American culture to adapt to this cultural practice? How does perception shape whether or not people adopt this habit?
