The slope of the line shown is 1/5, and being parallel means having the same slope. So it’s either a or b.

Next, you plug in (-2, 2) into y=1/5x+b to find b.

Solving you get: 2=1/5 * -2 +b

2=-2/5+b

B=2 2/5

12/5 = 2 2/5

So the answer is b.

Hope this helps!
