Answer:

64 ft^2

Explanation:

It is a square to start, so each side = x

then (x+7 ) * ( x -2) = 90

x^2 + 5x -14 = 90

x^2 + 5x - 104 = 0 factor or use Quadratic Formula to fin x = 8 ft

Original area is then 8 x 8 = 64 ft^2
