(X/3 - 2) + (X/2 + 6) = 3
X/3 - 2 + X/2 + 6 =3
5X/6 + 4 = 3
5X/6 = 3 - 4
5X/6 = - 1
5X = - 1 times 6
5X = - 6
X = - 6/5
And in decimal form: - 1.2
