Net force = 4 N - 1.6 N
= 2.4 N

So weight - air resistance that is drag force
= resultant force

Force = mass * acceleration
Acceleration = force / mass
= 2.4 N / 0.40 = 6 m/s^2

Net force = 2.4 N (C)
Acceleration = 6 m/s^ 2 (C)
