Answer:However, both Linh Che and Vasquez take great care to honor their families through the use of imagery and characterization in their poems. The speaker in “Identity” say’s “black haired beauty” who held her “head up higher” and “beloved little brown parents” and “taught [her] well” then “gave up so much”(Vasquez, lines 45, 48, 52-54). This conveys the speaker’s gratitude and appreciation for her family, which helps her celebrate the Mexican side of her identity that she often grappled with. The the speaker in “Los Angeles, Manila, Đà Nẵng” says “the heart-lights reflected on the river’s black / the locks clustered and dangling” (Linh Che, lines 53-54), then that she “should have left [their] names on that bridge” (Linh Che, line 55). This marks a turning point for the speaker, as she moves beyond feelings of guilt and disconnection and acknowledges that those sacrifices her family has made were out of love and should be a source of admiration rather than guilt. Thus, both speakers are able to navigate their complex identities and reach self-love for themselves as a result of growth and admiration of their families’ sacrifices

Answer:

In poetry authors do not have the luxury of spending time establishing theme and ... single brief idea, whereas a short story generally is the exact opposite; but both can convey ... careful use of the language as he/she shares a message through writing. ... figurative language, tone, mood, and stanzas rather than paragraphs.

Step-by-step explanation:

I'm certainly no expert on either Phillis Wheatley or Anne Bradstreet, but I have read several selections by each of them. As I see no one else has answered your question, I'll share my observations and hope you find them helpful. Bradstreet's work is a little older than Wheatley's, and it was written as private work which was never intended to be published. Wheatley, on the other hand, is a much more sophisticated poet. While Bradstreet was a devout believer and early settler in America, Wheatley was a black woman who had clearly been given some formal educational training.
