2. Then divide 15 by 3, which equals 5.

3. Then divide 27 by 3, which equals 9.

3. Finally just put it together to make the answer, 5:9.

Explanation:

You can create a equivalent ratio by simplified. A common factor between both numbers is 3. If you divide both sides of the ratio by 3, you get 5:9.
