An object is tossed up. What is the acceleration as it goes up?

From the instant it leaves your hand until it hits the ground, the object's acceleration is 9.8 m/s^2 down.

it doesn't matter whether you throw it up hard, up easy, horizontal, DOWN, or just drop it. Its acceleration is the same, and is constant, in every case.
