A truck can be rented from Company A for $50 a day plus $0.30 per mile. Company B charges $30 a day plus $0.70 per mile to rent the same truck. Find the number of miles in a day at which the rental

costs for Company A and Company B are the same.
At miles, the rental costs are the same from either company.

Answer:

At 50 miles, the rental costs are the same from either company.

Company A:

0.3 x 50 = 15

15+50= 65

Company B:

0.7 x 50 = 35

35 + 30 = 65
