What are some things a person can do to improve his/her self-esteem?

Do you think it is important to recognize both strengths and weaknesses? Why or why not?

Stop comparing themselves with others, tell themselves compliments, rely on themselves instead of others. Yes it is because when you don’t realize it will lower your self worth in your eyes which can put you in a bad relationship and make your self esteem worse too.

Answer:

An answer to this is a bit complicated, so it's below.

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to overcome low self esteem the person must identify what are causing those feelings. It can be anything from body image, intrusive thoughts, mental illnesses (anxiety, depression, etc.), stress, or a combination of many of these factors.

After the cause is identified, its up to the person to change who they are and how they think. Recognizing weaknesses in themselves is a good thing, however obsessing over mistakes and weaknesses is a whole nother story. It's important to keep yourself modest, but there is a fine line between staying modest with one's skill and pure self deprication and depression.

Hope this helps xx
