-7x-3y + x + 2y
-7x-3y + 1/2x+y
-5-x-2y

Answer as follows

This is what they should have done

-7x -3y +x +2y

Combine like terms.

-6x -y

Their Errors - it looks like on line 2 they divided x by 2 to eliminate the 2 in 2y

Then in line 3 they split the -7 from the x and added 2 so now it’s a subtraction instead of multiply, and they reintroduced the 2y as a negative

It’s hard to figure out where they were going with this. I added a print screen to help.
