I think it is important for journalists to accurately represent what sources say because if they didn't we wouldn't be reading everything correctly. I think if a journalist was too lazy or didn't care about writing what sources said accurately--I would be suspicious of the source or if what I was reading was even true. Also, someone could want to look up the source--and couldn't find it because the wording was off. Journalists need to be accurate and careful about their sources because it is their backbone and evidence to the truth and information of the story.
