Transfer of
pollen
from
anther
to
stigma
.
"Pollination is the transfer of the pollen (male gamete) to the stigma (female gamete) of the flowers".
There are two types of pollination which are as follows:
Self pollination
: When pollen grains from same flower or some other flowers of the same plant are transferred to stigma is known as self pollination.
Cross pollination
: When pollen grains from one plant is transferred to stigma of the flowers of other plant is known as cross pollination.
