Society as it is right now would not be able to function day to day without money. This is because our society’s economy is completely based off of paper currency. Mostly everything is bought and sold using money. There would need to be an extreme change in how our economy runs in order for society to function without money. There are ways for societies to function without money. An example of this would be a society based on trade and bargaining. This however, strays far away from our modern economy. The loss of money as our currency would also mean a loss of technological advances as trade cannot handle those kind of processes.
