Coordinates of Pre-image triangle ABC are:

A (0, 5), B(-5, 0) and C(5, -5)

and

Coordinate of image triangle A'B'C' are;

A'(0, 2), B'(-2, 0) and C'(2, -2)

The rule of dilation with scale factor k and centered at the origin is given by;

(x,y) ---> (kx,ky)

To find k;

A'(0, 2) = A'(0, 5k)

Comparing both sides we get;

5k = 2

k=2/5

Therefore, the correct scale factor is 2/5
