A squirrel can run a short distance at a rate of 4 3/4 miles in 15 minutes. A fox can run a short distance at a rate of 21 miles in half an hour. Which is faster, and how much faster in miles per hour?

35 mph= .58 of a mile per minute

21 miles in 30 minutes= .7 of a mile per minute

if you multiply by 60 to see the distance in the same amount of time:

rabbit: 35 mph

fox: 42

So the fox would run a greater distance in the time given. Hope this helps!
